100% pleased!!, April 4, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Miele Pisces S5281 Canister Vacuum Cleaner With STB 205-3 Turbohead and SBB 300-3 Parquet Floorbrush (Kitchen) We needed something that would work well on a solid wood floor and still transition to carpet. This is a great vacuum & worth the cost!! It is lightweight and very easy to use. It turns so easily and does not get caught on furniture. The attachments allow a person to clean anything--it has worked very well on upholstery also.The way the attachments are completely contained & close at hand is a big plus.Even though it is not a heavy appliance, the suction is better than a heavier vacuum I own. It is very flexible & can go around and get under furniture, cabinets etc. that are low to the ground.It also makes sweeping stairways a breeze! I love the fact that it glides smoothly and does not scratch the flooring the way a heavier vacuum could. Because it is so light and easy to use, my 11 year old now can sweep and even enjoys it!! I do not think anyone would be disappointed with purchasing this vacuum.
What a vacuum cleaner should be like, March 1, 2012 This review is from: Miele Pisces S5281 Canister Vacuum Cleaner With STB 205-3 Turbohead and SBB 300-3 Parquet Floorbrush (Kitchen) I needed a new vacuum cleaner that would work better and be more quiet than my $50 Kenmore or the carpet vacuum Hoover (got rid of all the wall-to-wall carpet a while back). While the Hoover is a decent vacuum cleaner it wasn't made for tile and cork like we have now.
Miele was my on the top of my list both from experience years ago at home and also from the recent reviews that I read. If I have a complaint it would be that there are so many different versions to choose from. In the end it was a toss between the Titan and the Pieces. I think I would have been happy with either but chose Pieces.
It is definitely more quiet than either of my other vacuum cleaners that have now been relegated to garage/car cleaning duties. Some people complain about the short cord but that is not an issue for me as it is still longer than what my Kenmore has and besides plugging/unplugging the cord about 3 times to get the house clean is not a problem.
